    Roberto Linares Brown, better known as “El Seņa”, was born on April 2nd 1976. He was born in the city Guaimaro Camaguey, Cuba. As a child he had a great passion for music. At the age of 9, he began to study music, specializing in Cuban and classic Percussion, at the vocational school of the arts in his native province.

    He began to compose and arrange music during his studies, always inclined to create popular Cuban music.

    In June 1996, he finished his musical studies. Soon afterwards he began his professional career playing with several bands. Valentin y los 10 del Caribe, is one band which worked for international tourism, where “El Sena” learned about international music and shows. Then he moved to Havana and became a pianist for Orquesta Azucar Negra.

    In June 2001, he became the keyboardist for one of the best bands in the country; Adalberto Alvares y su son. He was with them for 4 years and also became known as musical arranger on Adalberto’s 3 last CDs. With these bands, primarily with the last one, he went on several international tours visiting more than 20 countries, including: U.S.A, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Peru, Italy, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Austria, Japan and others. He shared the stage with artists such as Victor Manuel, Ray Cepulveda, Sonora Poncena, Compay Segundo and many others.

    Currently he resides in Toronto, Canada, where he is releasing his own musical project.
